That ending is where it all intersects.

Thanks for commenting.Tony Dayoubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04632329277519635858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8871549895931317151.post-56171055717218412602013-02-05T10:28:56.633-05:002013-02-05T10:28:56.633-05:00Couldn't disagree more about The Master. Hated the phoney Hollywood ending of Argo, could barely stay awake through Lincoln and liked Amour despite having much bigger expectations for it (simply because of Haneke's name). Need to see Kid on a Bike (in my queue) and agree with you wholeheartedly on Silver Linings.Paul Kellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07259742408803391459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8871549895931317151.post-70317814687484137192013-01-22T14:27:05.303-05:002013-01-22T14:27:05.303-05:00You hit it right on, Aden. Most critics I came across who reviewed the film accused Friedkin of overdoing the violence and grossness, but it was both intentional and necessary to make the film feel more like a movie and less like a play. The entire cast is great too, and I'm disappointed that the good work by M. Mc, Gershon, Haden Church, Temple, and Hirsch has been very overlooked in both best of the year lists and awards.Aden Jordanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17382319068170476270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8871549895931317151.post-60332797832120724222013-01-22T13:28:00.935-05:002013-01-22T13:28:00.935-05:00Yep, it was KILLER JOE that sold me on Temple. Love that you mentioned Juno Temple. The first time I remember seeing her was in Kaboom and Cracks in 2011, but this year, especially with that performance in Killer Joe, she is, as they say, da bomb. I also like that you too consider John Carter to be underrated. Kevyn Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17840497589713234794noreply@blogger.com
