One of my all-time favorite films, Blue Velvet, is now available for the first time ever on Blu-ray. A week from today, I should have a review up at my other outlet, Nomad Editions: Wide Screen, where I'll focus on the 50 minutes of lost footage that appears on the disc as a bonus feature.
To celebrate this release, I am happy to give away a free copy of the new 25th Anniversary Blu-ray (courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc.) to each of the first FIVE people who can correctly answer a question related to the bonus footage (hint: if you go back through some of my recent tweets you can easily find the answer). UPDATED: A Star is Born Deluxe Edition DVD Giveaway

A Star is Born is available for the first time ever on Blu-ray Tuesday, 6/22, and I should have a review up by Monday. Also available Tuesday on DVD, On Demand, and for Download, I have one copy of the Deluxe Edition 2-Disc DVD available to give away (courtesy of Warner Home Video) to the first person who can answer the following two-part question correctly. But first, the rules:

UPDATED: Gone With the Wind DVD Giveaway

On Tuesday, Warner Home Video will release the 70th Anniversary 2-Disc Special Edition DVD of Gone With the Wind (1939) (there's an extra nice package on Blu-ray as well). It includes the newly remastered film and commentary by historian Rudy Behlmer. I have one copy of the DVD available to give away (courtesy of Warner Home Video) to the first person who can answer the following question correctly. But first, the rules:

I just saw Jane Campion's beautiful and tragic romance, Bright Star, the story of poet John Keats' (Ben Whishaw) love affair with his young muse, Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish). My review should be posted here tomorrow. Right now, I have three official soundtracks to give away to the first three readers who can answer the following question correctly. But first, the rules:

UPDATED: The Wizard of Oz DVD Giveaway

Late last month, Warner Home Video released the 70th Anniversary 2-Disc Special Edition DVD of The Wizard of Oz (1939) (there's a pretty nice package on Blu-ray as well). It is a wonderful package which includes the newly remastered film, with commentary by historian John Fricke, a featurette on the restoration, a Dolby 5.1 Sing-Along feature, outtakes, deleted scenes, and much more. I have one copy of the DVD available to give away (courtesy of Warner Home Video) to the first person who can answer the following question correctly. But first, the rules:
